2012 was again a super year for Mokk-a, with sales increasing 165% over 2011!  The marketing plan put in place by my super-creative team, NBC Artworks, began Tweeting, increasing our Facebook presence, and pushing to drive our specialty retail and internet sales.

The year started with the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco.  We met a lot of new buyers, enjoyed a reception hosted by the Dutch Consulate Office, and ended with a very successful three days.  The year was full of travel, making new contacts, and selling “my wares” as they say.

New clients this year include Shubie’s in Marblehead, Mass.; Duck Soup in Sudbury, Mass.; and Harvest Market in Mendocino and Ft. Bragg, California. Harris Teeter sent a preliminary order for stores in North Carolina, and I spent a few weeks in September kicking off the 30 Kings and Balducci’s stores in New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland, and Connecticut.  It was a lot of fun,  and I met some really super people.

In 2013 we will again be exhibiting at the Winter Fancy Food Show in San Francisco as well as the summer show in New York.  Meetings are already scheduled with some wonderful specialty stores the day before the show, so stay tuned!  Thank you to all of my friends, family and new Mokk-a fans for helping us make 2012 a great success!
