Brewed Elegance on the Seine: Exploring Parisian Culinary Charms with Coffee-Rubbed Steak for the Grill Master

Monica with coffee-rubbed steak

On my recent trip to Paris for another Food and Taster convention (Conférence sur la gastronomie et la dégustation), I found myself hankering for something I could really sink my teeth into. I can’t speak French at all, but I was able to chat with a few fellow conference-goers about my love of coffee and how I enjoy it as a spice as well. They all started talking loudly about this café and that bistro over there. Saying that using coffee as a spice has become more and more popular, but it’s not new, and so they gave me some really good (old) places to go for a delicious steak.

Imagine strolling along the Seine River in Paris, where the city's romance and culinary artistry come together. In a charming bistro tucked away in a quiet corner, you encounter the perfect blend of French sophistication and coffee-infused delight. The chef, with a twinkle in their eye, reveals the secret to a gourmet experience: coffee-rubbed steak.

You're presented with a masterpiece—a perfectly grilled steak with a crust of finely ground coffee, giving it a unique texture and flavor. The richness of the coffee complements the tender meat, creating a symphony of tastes on your palate. As you savor each bite in the City of Love, you realize that this unexpected marriage of coffee and steak is a culinary love story that transcends borders.

At home, of course I use Cafe France for this Parisian delight.
