Have you ever noticed that you eat different things when the sun is shining? I do this, and I do it regardless of how warm or cold I feel. So, it felt perfectly normal to eat guacamole in the sun, under a blue sky, and surrounded by snow. 😉 Of course, this was no ordinary guacamole.

I love old European cities. The sights and the sounds inspire me. And being a foodie, I often follow my nose around when I smell something good cooking. This happened to me recently when I was wandering the streets and canals of one great, little city called the Venice of the North.

I took a quick jaunt to northern Europe during the broiling summer months in the south. I was in such a rush to get to cooler climates that I forgot to pack my usual granola bars and snacks. So, I felt embarrassed when I shouted in the airplane, “Oh darn! I forgot my nuts!” That won me a whole lot of side-eye from my fellow passengers.

On my recent trip to Paris for another Food and Taster convention (Conférence sur la gastronomie et la dégustation), I found myself hankering for something I could really sink my teeth into. I can’t speak French at all, but I was able to chat with a few fellow conference-goers about my love of coffee and how I enjoy it

Let's just go ahead and face it. If you're making cold brew at home from scratch, you're addicted to coffee, and well, probably to caffeine as a whole. But that's okay....
